Frequently Asked Questions

Booking

How do I reserve a date for my shoot/event?

To secure your date, we require a signed digital contract and a non-refundable retainer (deposit). Dates are held on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weekend events.

Payment

What are your rates and do you offer payment plans?

Our pricing is based on the service type and package selected. We typically require a retainer to book, with the remaining balance due [14 days] before the date of the shoot. Custom payment schedules can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

Deliverables

How and when will I receive my final photos and videos?

Our standard turnaround time is [4-6 weeks] for photos and [6-8 weeks] for videos. Photos are delivered via a private, high-resolution online gallery for easy downloading and sharing. Video is delivered via a private online link.

Editing

Will the final images and videos be edited?

Yes, absolutely! All delivered photos are individually hand-edited for color correction, exposure, contrast, and cropping. Videos are professionally edited, color-graded, and set to licensed music to create a cinematic story. We do not provide unedited (RAW) photo files or unedited video footage, as the editing process is essential to our final creative vision.

Equipment & Backup

What happens if your equipment fails or you are ill on the day?

We operate with professional-grade primary and backup equipment (cameras, lenses, audio gear, etc.) to prevent any technical issues. In the extremely rare event of an emergency or illness, we have a network of trusted professional photographers/videographers who can step in to provide coverage, ensuring your event is documented.

Usage Rights

Do I own the rights to the photos and videos?

You receive a personal print and usage license, which allows you to download, print, and share your photos/videos with friends and family and on social media. Gpphotovideo.com retains the copyright and the right to use the work for promotional purposes (website, social media, etc.).

Travel

Do you charge travel fees?

Travel within a [New England, e.g., 50-mile] radius of [Providence,RI] is included in the package price. Projects outside of this zone may incur a small travel fee to cover fuel, tolls, and/or necessary accommodation, which will be clearly noted in your custom quote.

I'm only interested in video, but want a few photos. Is that possible?

Yes, depending on the type of shoot. For certain video packages, we can add a limited number of high-quality photos (often referred to as 'stills from video' or 'quick photo additions') at a small added fee. This is a great option for clients who need a few key images for social media or marketing. Please mention this need when you contact us so we can verify if it's available for your specific booking.

Do you offer both photography and videography?

Yes, Gpphotovideo.com offers both professional photography and videography services. We specialize in providing comprehensive visual coverage for your event or project.

How far in advance should I book your services?

It’s always best to book services at least a month or two in advance. Of course exceptions can be made for clients needing a shorter timeframe.

Can you help with a shot list or creative brief?

Yes! For commercial projects, we are partners in the creative process. We will always start with a Discovery Call to understand your brand, target audience, and specific goals, and we'll collaboratively build a detailed shot list or brief before the shoot date.

Who is responsible for providing props/models/locations?

This varies by project. We can handle full production (sourcing models, props, and locations) or work with your existing marketing team. We'll clarify these responsibilities and costs in the project agreement.

Do I get commercial licensing/usage rights?

Yes, commercial projects include a broad commercial usage license that allows you to use the photos/videos for marketing, web, print, and advertising. The specific terms of use (e.g., duration, geographical area) will be clearly defined in your contract.
